Why Volunteer?
We know everyone is busy, and we also know that volunteering may be completely new for some of our families. That’s okay! You don’t need any special experience, just a willingness to help.
It takes a lot of people working behind the scenes to make a marching band of our size successful. Whether you can help once or several times throughout the season, every little bit makes a difference.
Volunteering is also a great way to meet other band families, see what your kid is part of, and become part of the community that makes the Musical Bees such a special experience for our kids.
Many hands make light work—and we’d love to have you join us!
See below for two important volunteer needs!!
Monday 8/31
- 12th Period Band
- 2:30-3:00 Clarinets Inside
- 7PM Medina Band Parents Association monthly business meeting. All are welcome to join.
Tuesday 9/1
- Students can drop off instruments, change of shoes, and water bottles to their instrument locker before 1st Period
- 12th Period Band
- Break from 2:22 to 2:40 to allow students to change clothes if they desire to do so.
- After School Practice – 2:40 – 5:00 pm – FULL BAND (Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, and Guard)
- Percussion Only – 5:00 – 6:00 pm
- Guard Only – guard will be after school 2:40 – 5:00 pm to learn drill with the rest of the band
Wednesday 9/2
- 12th Period Band
Thursday 9/3
- 12th Period Band
- Break from 2:22 to 2:40 to allow students to change clothes if they desire to do so.
- After School Practice – 2:40 – 5:00 pm – Full Band (everyone)
- Percussion Only – 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Friday 9/4
- 12th Period Band
- 2:30-3:00 – Baritones outside
- 3:00-3:30 – Tubas Inside
- Away Football Game vs Brunswick – Itinerary Folder

The 2026 Band Show is quickly approaching. Please consider lending a helping hand for one of our annual fundraising events. There is an attached document that outlines each of the volunteer areas for the event. There is also a link to a Sign Up Genius to officially sign up for the event.
