Happy Band Parent Night Week, Band Show Week, AND Online Tag Day Kick-Off Week!!!
Needless to say, this is a BIG week for the Medina Musical Bees! The Band Show and Online Tag Day are two of the bigger fundraisers for our Medina Band Parents Association.
BAND SHOW – WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!!
Our Band Show is this Saturday, and we still have several volunteer spots that need to be filled. Please scroll down to the Band Show section of this email and click on the VOLUNTEER link. It takes a lot of people to make an event this size happen, and we greatly appreciate everyone who can lend a hand!
ONLINE TAG DAY KICK-OFF
We are also aiming to kick off our Online Tag Day fundraiser on Band Show Day! More information will be sent out later this week.
Our first step will be getting the students to set up their Online Fundraiser Profiles. Once those are ready, we will need everyone’s help pushing the fundraiser out to family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, social media — everyone! The more people we can reach, the more successful this fundraiser can be. Students will be instructed how to do this in Google Classroom this week.

Friday, September 18 – WKYC Channel 3 Friday Football Fever
Medina High School will be hosting Channel 3 WKYC for its Friday Football Fever morning segment! This will take place before school starts.
More details will be coming soon. I am just waiting on a few final details from administration. Thank you for your patience, and be ready to bring some MEDINA SPIRIT!!
Thursday, September 24 – Early Release
The district’s Early Release schedule will alter our normal after-school rehearsal that day. I am waiting to see the staff’s required after-school schedule before deciding what we can and cannot do for rehearsal. I will update everyone as soon as I have that information.
Saturday, October 17 – Schedule Change
Unfortunately, the Norton Competition could not be saved this season, and OMEA has cancelled the event.
This means we will NOT be performing at Norton that afternoon. We will now only be performing that evening at Copley High School.
Please update your calendars accordingly.
It is going to be a busy week, but a GREAT week to be a Musical Bee! Thank you, as always, for everything you do to support our students and our band program!

The Musical Bees Online Store from Sportsworld is OPEN AGAIN through MONDAY 14th SEPTEMBER at Midnight. Orders will then be in production. Orders from the 2nd Sale Event will be available to pick up at the end of Band Practice on TUESDAY 6th OCTOBER at 5pm at the PAC. This is the week of Homecoming.

The 2026 Band Show is quickly approaching. YOU ARE 100% GUARANTEED TO SEE YOUR CHILD PERFORM THE SHOW AT THE END OF THE NIGHT!!! Please consider lending a helping hand for one of our annual fundraising events. We especially need help with first shift ticket sales and second shift concession stands!!
