🐝 ALL Freshmen & ALL New Member Welcome Day
A fun and relaxed intro day led by our student leaders to help new members get comfortable before Music Camp starts.
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM ***it was mistakenly written as 9am in the previous email.
- Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Performing Arts Center doors
- Snack and water if they want to
- No Instruments
Leadership Camp for Officers, FCs, and Reps: 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Guard: 6:00–9:00 PM
Medina Band Parents Association Monthly Business Meeting: 7:00 PM in the Medina High School Band Room – All are welcome to attend.
🎼 Music Camp Begins – Tuesday, 7/28 thru Friday, 7/31
ALL Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Leaders FCs and Section Leaders Only: 2:00 – 4:00 PM Tuesday 7/29
ALL Leaders: 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday 7/30
Guard: 6:00 – 9:00 PM Monday thru Thursday (not friday)
Morning Music Camp Reminders:
- Arrive between 7:45–7:55 AM
- Drop off at Performing Arts Center
- Pick up music folders in PAC lobby
- Report directly to sectional rooms
- Bring instrument, music, pencils, and money for snacks ($0.50–$1)
💲 Supplemental Fee Reminder – Action Needed
The Supplemental Instrumental Music Fee Worksheet was due July 5.
🎺 Uniforms will NOT be issued for picture day or performances until fees are paid.
Complete it:
- ✅ Online, or
- ✅ At your child’s uniform fitting
👕 Uniform Fittings – Week of July 27
Required for Brass, Woodwind, & Percussion students
Reminders:
- Wear gym shorts and t-shirt (hair tied back)
- No changing rooms—uniforms go over your clothes
- Percussion: Bring your harness
- Be on time—we’re working with limited volunteers

Help keep the troopers and rebels energized!
🧢 Plan Ahead for Outdoor Rehearsals
Your student will need:
- Sunscreen
- Large water bottle or jug (labeled with name)
- Hat & sunglasses (wide-brim preferred)
- Athletic shoes (not bulky) with socks
- Cool, loose, school-appropriate clothing
- Working instrument (tuning slides/quality reeds – all in good shape)
- 📵 No phones/airpods during rehearsal (per MHS policy)
